Christian believes that every student is unique and requires a specialized lesson plan to help them meet their goals. He believes that there is no greater feeling than the moment when a difficult idea or concept all comes together and makes perfect sense, when your mind has an idea and your fingers know exactly what to do. One of his greatest passions is working with students to discover what is unique about them as creative people and helping craft their artistic voice.

His goal as a teacher is to foster musical curiosity in students and provide them a framework that encourages asking the right questions. He has stated: “I think that the best way to learn music is to do so as holistically as possible. In part, this includes understanding that music is infinitely complex and the study of it is a lifelong pursuit because there is always more to learn. I don’t expect all of my students to become professionals, but I would like to encourage them by sparking their curiosity and providing the tools they need in order to thrive wherever their interests may lead them.”
