Simon Linn-Gerstein


Simon earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music and Musicology at Haverford College in Pennsylvania, graduating Magna cum Laude with High Departmental Honors.  An accomplished cellist, Simon has experience in both teaching and performing.  As a member of the American String Teachers’ Association (ASTA), he has taught music at the ASTA Elementary and Middle School String Camps in Howell, MI.  He has also coached students at Soundfest, the Colorado String Quartet’s summer festival in Falmouth, MA.

Simon has performed solo recitals for PBS Philadelphia, the Salem Farmer’s Market, and as a concerto soloist with the Salem Philharmonic and members of Symphony by the Sea.  He has also performed with the Hillyer Festival Orchestra, Cape Ann Symphony, and the MIT Chorus Orchestra.  Simon has collaborated with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Richard Wernick.
