An established lead rhythm guitarist and vocalist out of Baltimore, Maryland, Tessa has been composing music and performing on stage around the U.S. for the last six-plus years. Along with playing and writing music, she also has a passion for teaching beginner guitar students. Influenced by artists like: John Mayer, Jack Johnson, and Fleetwood Mac, her style of playing has an indie flair with a percussion effect, and her genres for instruction and performance include pop, indie, R&B, country, and alternative rock. Whether she’s teaching the fundamentals of acoustic guitar or helping students hone their singing and performing skills, Tessa is eager to support students as they evolve as musicians and develop their own individual style.
Tessa has been studying and playing acoustic guitar since she was a young child playing at home with her siblings. At the age of 14, she joined her older sister to form the singing and songwriting duo Cecilia Grace. Since that time, Tessa and Cecilia Grace have performed around the country, opening for various artists including: Capital Cities, Ryan Cabrera, Matt Nathanson, Nickelodeon star Drake Bell, American Idol winner Trent Harmon, A Great Big World, and O-Town. She has played in hundreds of unique venues and festivals nationwide, including: The New York City Marathon, The Montauk Music Festival, The Ladybug Festival, The Sisterbug Festival, Loyola University Loyola Paloozza, Stevenson University, Stockton University, among many others.
After close to seven years playing as a duo in Baltimore, Tessa recently made the move to Boston to pursue her solo career and to continue to write and perform original music based on the east coast.
