Born in Philadelphia, Jonathan has always had a passion for music with soul.  A singer since the age of 3, music has allowed him to explore the world. As co-founder of critically acclaimed Afropolitan band Soulfège, he has performed on four continents, in 44 states, DC and Puerto Rico in a variety of languages and genres. His deep interest in discovering the roots of soul music around the world has allowed him to share the stage with many artists, notably Bobby McFerrin, Oumo Sangare, Arrested Development, Rocky Dawuni, Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics and more. He has performed for dignitaries such as Nelson Mandella, Bill Clinton, Al Gore and Gwendolyn Brooks. A father of two lovely daughters, his passion for spreading music to youth is a personal and professional one. 

Currently based in Cambridge, MA, where he is a Resident Tutor in Music at Harvard University, Jonathan is a professional singer in nine different bands, spanning many genres including: reggae, gospel, funk, afrobeat,  jazz, klezmer, a cappella, hip hop, R&B and rock. His collaborators include Berklee and NEC professors and alums, Harvard students and Church members a truly eclectic mix of talented music lovers.
