A native of Ireland, Benny Benson is a third generation musician who has toured extensively in Europe, the United States, and Canada. He has studied with Ned Smith, Bob Gullotti, Gary Chaffee and the great Charlie Banacos.

Benny is one of the founding members of the bands Fats Hammond and Head Shaft. He has toured with several groups of various musical genres including blues, jazz, funk, and pop. He continues to perform nightly in the Boston area and all over the North East.
